The Global War On Terror Has Been Bastardized
Attention: Order Followers, Your Marching Orders Have Changed
On Sept. 11, 2001, we were told a band of Al Qaeda terrorists took 4 planes, crashed into 2 buildings, the Pentagon and in Shanksville. We were told that from that moment on the “War On Terror” would begin. We were told that this war had no end and would include the terrorists and anyone who harbored them. We were told that they attacked the US because they hated our freedoms. We were told that the mastermind behind the attacks was Osama Bin Laden. We were told that not only did they have to kill Osama but anyone associated with Osama.
In March of 2003 the “Shock & Awe” campaign began in Iraq as we were told that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and needed to be annihilated. We were told that the "War On Terror” had to extend to Iraq even though Osama Bin Laden was in the hills and caves of Afghanistan. The entire world backed the US's pre-emptive strategy of getting them before they got us.
For 20 years the US and its allies have sewn into the minds of the entire world that the Arabs were potential terrorists, and that their tentacles stretched across the globe and because of that, everyone, everywhere was at risk of being terrorized by these goat-herding rag wearing Shiites, Sunni's Salafi's, Wahabi's, ISIS, ISIL, Al-Nusra and whatever other name they could call them by. We were terrorized by the potential of being terrorized by the Arab buggy men who lurk in the shadows and want to rape our women, behead our soldiers, steal our freedoms, establish Sharia law, cut off our hands and feet and a host of unthinkable crimes against us, the western world, because we in the west, were free and they hated that.
We were told that sometimes they had to support the "moderate rebels" against the "sectarian terrorists" because aligning with the "moderate rebels" we could augment the take down of the "real" terrorists. We were given daily slices of propaganda to the point where any Muslim anywhere on earth was a potential threat to our Democracy and should be suspected of being a suicide bomber, killer, rapist, child killer and on and on. This daily slice advanced into a full fledge Islamophobia that swept the world faster than the speed of light.

The US and its western allies sent thousands of their young soldiers off to the Middle East to fight this "War On Terror” for the expanse of 20+ years. These young people came home in body bags, were severely maimed, suffered suicidal ideation, emotional breakdowns and homelessness after fighting these wars to secure the oil & poppy fields, ziggurats and trillions of lost taxpayers' dollars in the black hole of the failed audit of the Pentagon. If you take into account the families of these soldiers the escalation of the impact of their loss and suffering is patently unimaginable and is seldom on the headlines of the mainstream news. Is this how we thank them for their service??
Some of them were caught up in the frenzy of torturing these so called Terrorists in the most horrific ways as was seen in Guantanamo and other extraordinary rendition sites in Egypt, Morocco, Syria, and Jordan.
Trillions upon trillions of dollars were conscripted for this never ending “War On Terror”, bleeding the taxpayer. The quality of life of these taxpayers slowly but surely diminished to the point that the middle class was under threat of becoming the lower middle class and the lower middle class was thrusted into abject poverty.
WHY ISN'T ANYONE SCREAMING ABOUT THE DISSERVICE TO THESE SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN?
I've read and watched numerous reports on what has happened in Syria. I've listed some of the links below. So far, the only person who even mentions these service men and women who fought and died for the so-called cause of freedom is Kim Iverson.
This, "Thank you for your service" pat on the head, has devolved into a slinging of mud in the face of all who gave their lives for the so-called cause of freeing the world of 'Terrorists who hate our freedoms." These warmongers who trotted our young off to war have done a 180 by their in lock-step reversal of rebranding and praising a known terrorist, who at this point has a 10 Million Dollar bounty on his head.
This so-called 20+ year “War On Terror” has degenerated into a total mockery of any cause for freedom, human rights or any moral high ground that the US and its imperial allies has bolstered for more than 2 decades. It is a total sham that sheds a spotlight on the total hypocritical nature of every pundit who broadcasted it over the airwaves and in the halls of governmental bodies.
Syria, for a host of reasons disclosed and undisclosed to the public and the US and its allies soldiers have fought are slowly finding its way into the public discourse. The fall of Syria, one of the most ancient cultures in the history of the world is catastrophic. It has been in the eye of the needle of Western Imperialism for decades. These Imperialists have seeded an unending civil, economic, emotional and infrastructural strife on the people of Syria all the while disguising it as some moral act of ridding this nation from the terrorists in their midst. Yet, from the other side of their mouths, they secretly and sometimes openly admitted to funding, training and supporting these very terrorists.
What I don't understand with these folks who align themselves with the US Empire and its cohorts, is that inevitably the US Empire & its cohorts quickly change course and turn on the very ones they initially supported. In other words, the Empire operatives come in under the guise of supporting the so-called moderate rebels, who in their eyes are their useful idiots, then after they gain inroads into their confidence they desert them, their state fails and the Empire moves on to its next victim. I can't help but remember how Gadaffi rubbed elbows with Western Empire leaders only to have the whole NATO alliance crush him completely.
During the early days of the "War On Terror” the US used Syria as a waystation for the "so-called" Al-Qaeda terrorists. The Syrian government allowed the US to use its prisons to house, interrogate and torture these "suspected terrorists". Shortly after, Syria itself was caught in the crosshairs of Western Empire and for 12+ years it has done everything in its power to undermine Syria's position as a sovereign country with its sights on its food and oil reserves. I remember the report where these “moderate rebels” supported by the US, were transporting truckloads of oil in a huge caravan right out of Syria into Turkey. I remember how the US troops were guarding Syria's oil and its refineries.
Right now Israel is expanding its incursion into Syria, undetermined to move out of the Golan Heights and taking more of the surrounding areas. Israel by creating so called buffer zones is the most opportunistic style of colonizing and resettlement that has heretofore ever been seen in the area. Syria, with years of internal strife, civil war, economic sanctions and destruction of its infrastructure and military has become a failed state.
The irony of it all is that we are looking at a Nation State that believes it and its Jewish inhabitants are the “chosen ones” and that all others are Amalec. With that being said, how can one be so deluded as to think that Israel will live peacefully and harmoniously with the new regime in Syria that is raising the black flag of ISIS over its strongholds? Do these rebranded terrorists into moderates who are supposedly going to be the standard-bearers of diversity think that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is going to give them an open highway to the reconstruction of Syria?
Israeli occupation forces, in the last two days, have carried out hundreds of strikes on Syrian military assets, claiming to target everything from chemical weapons depots to air defenses under the pretext of preventing these from falling into the hands of militants.
SO WHAT EXACTLY DID THESE YOUNG MEN & WOMEN AT THE BEHEST OF THEIR IMPERIAL OVERLORDS ACCOMPLISH??
Pardon me if I am a little bit pissed by this whole thing but the Empire has given us its ass to kiss after years of wringing their hands and doing all they could to scare the bejeezus out of us. They have ripped apart the very essence of their order followers who were the orchestrators of the destruction and deaths of thousands, maybe even millions long term. To have them turn around and applaud themselves and the terrorists they have soft peddled into being in charge of Syria is more than just a haha, it’s a bitch slap to the face!
