WE ARE ALL PASSENGERS ON THE KILLING TRAIN THE EMPIRE
My Thoughts On Chris Hedges Report "The New Dark Age"
I think that we, as Western Humans, have gotten too cozy with our modern conveniences, that we do not see how our modern conveniences are the vehicle by which other humans become commodities in the quest for Empire. We scream, we shout, we want the genocide to stop…… but are we willing to change our lifestyles enough such that we don’t need the things that make genocide “possible” and in some instances, “necessary.”
The Empire managers are not only fattening their pockets on the backs of those they oppress, they are also paving a path where we can remain comfortable with all that we gain from their tromping around the world. We pride ourselves and boast about “our way of life” and in the USA, proclaiming that the USA is the richest country in the world. But how it got its riches, is never a question up for debate. Our very way of life is predicated on the resources that are robbed from others around the world.
One of the biggest boons we get is oil…… Just research all the things that are made from petrol. How many of these products are we willing to no longer consume or use?
The other is mineral resources. The tariff war has shown how interdependent we have become worldwide. In fact, I would say that the USA in particular is more of a consumer than a producer, therefore the governmental leaders of the USA are like famished vampires who seek out more and more to ravish in order to maintain their lavish lifestyles but also, to maintain the support of their constituents.
We are all passengers on the killing train, the corpses are all around us because we live, even the least of us, at the expense of those countries that have been ravished by Western Empires.
The Global military Industrial complex, employs millions of people, who in turn feed into the economy of the nations they live in. To shut it down would have a catastrophic impact on their lives, their families, their communities etc.
The Global Military Industrial Complex is the greatest purveyor of ecocide.
We can keep pointing a finger at the Warmongers at the top. They are the easy targets. We can protest in the streets, that may be a bit more effective, but until we realize our own complicity; stop voting for narcissistic psychopaths; pull back on our own consumerism; scale down our “needs” masquerading as “wants”; have a more relational connection to the natural world and become more self-sufficient; the genocide of the Palestinians in Gaza may stop, but it won’t stop man’s desire to continually grasp for more and more of the resources needed to maintain Empire.
The faces of the Empire managers may change, but the agenda to maintain hegemony will not. Empires lust for expansion. Their systems are designed to condone, maintain, preserve and honor its war criminals. Its constituents benefit and celebrate its so-called victories. The inherent violent nature of Empire building is glossed over with words like “well it’s war” and as of late, the resistance is labeled terrorists. We may want to say that Empire is in its last throws, however, Empires rise and fall because those who partake in the advantages never have a radical revolutionary change in their thinking. There are always “good” guys and “bad” guys who stand in the way of progress. The industrial world sits on its laurels as the purveyors of civilization yet it is the most destructive to the planet, its inhabitants and humanity itself.
WE NEED A RADICAL REVOLUTION.
WE NEED A RADICAL TRANSFORMATION.
NOT PLATITUDES.
NOT PROTESTS.
NOT WRITING OR STALKING OUR CONGRESIONAL REPRESENTATIVES.
WE NEED TO TAKE AWAY THE REASON FOR THE EMPIRE MANAGERS TO BE THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE.
UNTIL WE DO, FOR SURE WE WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE, NOT INTO A “NEW DARK AGE” BUT INTO A DARKER AND DARKER AGE WHERE WHAT ONCE WAS KNOWN AS BEING HUMANITARIAN BECOMES A FORGONE NOTION.

Two of the greatest "prophets" of America were President Dwight D. Eisenhower, his "prophethood" established by the warnings he gave in his Farewell Address,

and Edward R. Murrow, in his Wires and Lights in a Box speech,

As for myself, I will continue writing at Substack, as per Prophet Muhammad's suggestion:
"If you see a wrong, stop it with your hand. If you can't stop it with your hand, then speak against it. And if you can't speak against it, then condemn it in your heart. Of those three choices, the last one is the weakest."
I speak against it. One reason is that, I spent virtually my entire adult life helping others--in big ways. That's on the real side. So, I choose, for myself, to support, through writing. That's jihad.
Hazrat Ahmad said, "The last jihad will be a jihad of the pen." I admire those who want to write Congressmen, and all that. But, not my bag. Been there, done that. All they do is send you a form letter telling you why they're f*cked up decisions are great, "democratic," yada, yada, yada.
Besides, the last time I got effectively pissed was when I was 19 years old, and me and my crew got into a gun battle against members of the CPD (Chicago Police Department). For me, writing is safer. If I didn't write, then, as my Padrino, Salvadore Hernandez said when we asked him to teach us Palomonte: "G*ddamit!! Eefa I teacha you younga son-of-a-beecha this Question, Chicago will have to move!!" So, he didn't teach is "this Question" [You know what I'm talking about, Nana]. So, I write...Because, I ain't got no Palo [Damn!!] Good luck to those who do more kinetic protesting, etc. I wish ya'll the very best, seriously. I paid my dues.
